I have a rainbird 20 yr old valve that I think needs replacing I have 1 zone that seems to have low pressure "bad selenoid?" When I bleed the bleeder screw a different zone turns on. ?Would a valve for one zone shut off and start a different one by bleeding a bleeder screw?

or am I at the wrong valve?

It sounds like you are at the wrong valve, 1 valve runs 1 zone. If you are turning on a valve and the zone you are looking for does not come on, you need to try a different valve. as far as the low pressure, take a good look around the zone in question, you probably have a leak somewhere.

A little confusing given the description, but let us assume for a moment that you have the right valve, and that you're description is correct; you open the bleed and a different zone turns on... The only thing that really seems to be possible here is that you have a master valve situation. Try that option!

Have you cleaned out any dirt inside the valve and solenoid assembly? A bad solenoid shouldn't result in pressure loss?? Is there a pressure regulator on the valve? that may also be your problem
