We're using a Rainbird controller with 3 zones. Over the winter I had the lines blown out. Yesterday I go to turn on the system and nothing. I go outside and turn on the hose bib valve (the one that comes off the house and feeds the 3 zones) and voila zones 1 & 2 come on. Go over to the control box and switch to zone 3 and it also comes on. All 3 zones are now on at the same time. Last summer I had it set up so that zone 1 would operate for 8 min, then zone 2 and finally zone 3.
Here's the problem. When I 'tell' the control panel to shut everything off, all 3 zones remain on. Clearly what's happening is the system is not being controlled by the control panel. It's just running off the main hose bib valve because as soon as i shut it off everything turns off.
How do i get the control panel to 'speak' to the 3 individual zone valve/solenoids?
I really don't want to have to call in the irrigation guys if it's a simple procedure.
